About Us
The husband and wife team of Mike and Kiri are the owners and stylists at Mosaic Hair Studio. Both being stylists themselves, they realized their dream of opening their own salon in June of 2004. Prior to owning Mosaic Hair Studio, Mike worked at M Salon and Jungle Red in Winter Park, and Kiri worked at David James in Thorton Park. When they opened the salon, they had a clear vision of what they wanted; their aim was to have a boutique studio that has a relaxing and inviting feel. Both Mike and Kiri have had extensive training in Miami, Chicago, New York and London, and make it a priority to interpret the latest trends to suit each individual client’s needs.
Mike and Kiri have accomplished their dream. Mosaic Hair Studio is a small boutique hair salon located near downtown Orlando. They bring together the importance of fabulous hair and creating a relaxed, fashion-forward environment. Mosaic Hair Studio has been described as charming, quaint and personable. Clients always receive a high level of skill and artistry without an aire of pretentiousness.
Mike
Heavy metal and Techno. Body Building and Politics. It might seem like a strange combination but that’s Mike. As resident DJ, co-owner and a stylist at Mosaic Hair Studio he is always experimenting with new styles and techniques; and always to rocking tunes.
His clients know to just sit back, relax and let Mike work his magic! His mischievous sense of humor keeps the rest of the staff and even clients on their toes. If you are looking for a great new style or you just want to talk politics or music stop on by and ask for Mike.
Kiri
Chairman of the Board, Head Honcho, CEO, El Presidente; there are many word’s to describe Kiri’s role but we lovingly call her The Owner.” As owner and creative director, Kiri is inspired by trends in Interior design, architecture, or anything on HGTV.
Kiri’s clients love her because she takes a personal interest in them; perfecting the art of listening to a client’s wants, while guiding them to what they need. So come on in if you need advice on your style or fabric choice.
Christine
Batman had Robin, Sherlock had Watson, and we have Christine Sexauer, a native South Dakotian and UCF marketing major wears many hats; receptionist, marketeer, concierge, even bouncer. Originally hailing from the frigid North, her demeanor is warm and charming; unless you annoy her and then she’ll dump you as many Orlando boys have found out. When we hired Christine we felt like we won the employee lottery.
Taleen
Taleen Derkaloustian hails from the Windy City, Chicago. With her wild curls and electric personality she brings a fresh and youthful set of eyes to Mosaic Hair Studio. While in her chair you will get premium treatment and an earful about how much she misses the food from her hometown. As our stylist in charge of Blowout Bar, she can help you get ready for a night out on the town or make you look fabulous on those days that you are too lazy to get out of the shower and do your own hair, because after all you are 1/6 royalty.
